Responsibilities:

- Acts as a source of senior advice and support in all matters pertaining to the club.

Deputy Chief Instructor: Miss Lorna Maclean
Responsibilities:
- Carries the full authority of the organisation and deputises in the absence of the Chief Instructor.
- Acts as a source of senior advice and support in all matters pertaining to the club.
- Co-ordinates/Assists in the day-to-day running of the club.
Availability:
- In the absence of the chief instructor this person will deal with anything not listed in the roles of the management team member.
- Acts as a source of senior advice and support in all matters pertaining to the club.
- Co-ordinates/Assists in the day-to-day running of the club.
- Collects and processes students' club memberships.
- Ensures everyone's licences are up-to-date.
- Assists with the club licencing/insuring.
- Any problems regarding membership of the club.
- Collection of fees for membership/licence applications.
- In the absence of the chief instructor and deputy chief instructor this person will deal with anything not listed in the roles of the management team member.
- All financial aspects of the club.
- Setting up payment systems (e.g. standing order) for fees.
- Payments for karate suits/equipment should be given to equipment & uniforms officer.
- Payments for membership/licences/insurance should be given to the administrator.
- Payments for courses and gradings should be given to the events organiser.
- Find suitable venues for hosting events for the club, e.g. courses, gradings etc.
- Organise events in conjunction with the chief instructor and the management team.
- Collect fees for each event.
- Deal with enquiries/applications for each event.
- Keep a record of the items of equipment that the club has or needs as well as lends.
- Maintains the karate gi exchange scheme.
- Processes all new karate suit (gi) requests.
- Any requests for new karate suits (gi).
- Collection of payments for karate suits (gi).
- Loan of any item of equipment.
- Collection of fees for loaning.
- All club publications (e.g. newsletters, videos etc).
- Advertising.
- Dealing with the press.
- Any requests for entries into the club newsletter.
- Any press enquiries.
- Maintain the club website.
- Any issues regarding the website.
- Requests for passwords to access material on the website.
- Maintain the club library catalogue.
- Archive all of the club's books, videos, DVDs, rare manuscripts etc.
- Keep a record of any borrowing/loan of items from/to the club library.
- Deal with requests for any martial arts-related resource.
- Loan enquiries for items in the club catalogue.
- Act as a resource for any first aid issues regarding your training.
- First Aid Emergencies in the club.
- First Aid training requests.
- Liaise with charities and charitable bodies.
- Develop fundraising ideas for the club.
- If you have any fundraising ideas, this is the person to speak to.
